Have you ever advertised your forums on other platforms?

Hello,

I would like to know how much people here ever advertised their forums on other platforms for increasing members and posts?

Or are you building forum for experience or a hobby?

I ask this because I saw more forums built but didn't develop any more, they look like unactive forums.

what do you think about that?
