I have tried to put this hack together for two weeks now with no luck. The gentleman who wrote it has been very kind, but our time difference, etc... has made it next to impossible to catch each other. Has anyone successfully installed this hack that might be able to give me some help/advice? Here are my hurdles:

1. avatar is not recognized as a picture. I've tried selecting and changing the view as files options, to no avail. I've ftp'd and browsed. Nada.

2. I don't see the category with drop box. Is this related to the jump navigator? I need help with what I may not be doing right.

3. Last!! In cp>avatar>options there are two duplicate select boxes. One for Store Custom Avatar As File and Custom Avatar Folder... They are both printed twice, one below the other.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I love this hack! I just can't get it right... Sigh.

I have it installed, but I to do not have the frop down box as seen on talkloud.net that is the only place I have seen it like that...

Hi. I installed the avatars in categories hack. Finally! Well... I had a lot of help from a kind member.Thanks Bane! :)

My only problem is with the jump navigation. It doesn't work in Netscape... and I have a good portion of readers that use it. I copied the navigation that is used in the control panel. All I need to know is where EXACTLY do I put it so that I may use it for the categories?

OK-- is this hack workable on 2.3.0? I want it on my board, but afraid to put it on there and something go wrong because its not for 2.3.0... can anyone help?
