VB5 vs VB4

Up to version 4 of vbulletin my forum had a lot of activity and I was quite happy with the software.

With version 5 activity went almost to zero:
my.lifeinitaly.com
For me the "latest Activity" in version 4 worked much better, it appeared just on the home page without clicking on a tab.
Mostly if i had a spammer I could delete all of his/her post at once. Now just to delete one post I have to answer many questions. to delete multiple posts it is a real job.
As a result of frustration changed and I am using much more my facebook lifeinitaly page than the forum. I was wondering if it is my vbulletin 5 that is set up wrong or if any other had the same issue. Is there a place where I can look for an expert vbulletin programmer ( paid) ?

I visited your website. You are using the deprecated version 5.0.5 . There have been many, many bug fixes and enhancements to VB5 since 5.0.5 was released. You should upgrade to 5.1.6 or wait for the soon to be released 5.1.7. VB5 does have a slight learning curve and for some users, this is a nuisance to them. Others will adapt just fine. Going back to VB4 is expensive to pay someone to do it for you. It is possible but I don't recommend it as VB4 is no longer developed with exception to security and PHP updates. After upgrading to the newest version, you will notice faster speed and less bugs right away. I would then recommend not using the default style as it is very dull and bland looking. There are new styles included in the new releases that look much better and there are custom styles available for very reasonable cost.

Just so nobody takes this post the wrong way, if you are using VB4 and are happy with it and the mods you have installed, keep VB4. This post is not a recommendation to upgrade to VB5 unless you are looking for features not included in VB4.

Upgrade to 5.1.6/7 when its out. :) should be a massive improvement.

I would not suggest any version of 5 yet.. stick with vbulletin 4 for serious admins.
