Viewing Signatures
 

None of the threads here seemed to help.

I just set up a 4.2.2 forum and can't view signatures. I can edit and save a signature, but it won't show up in posts.

I have the permissions set to YES in the Usergroup Manager, and I've searched everywhere for any other place that I have to enable signatures.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but any help? Where else might I have to enable signatures?

Did you set options accordingly in the bottom area of the usergroup manager under the signature settings?

Hmm wonder if you have attachments setup oddly or something, not sure but if you can provide us with more info or a screenshot of your signature settings we may be able to assist more.

You usually have to tick a box to show the Signatures in a post. You can use this e360 Always Show Your Signature This mod will always show your members signature if they tick the show signature in posts or don't tick the show signature in posts.

I'd rather not get into adding mods. I know there is a setting someplace that will turn them on. Years ago I set up anther forum that I'm still running and I remember having the same issue. Someone told me how to fix it and it was simple, but I just don't remember! That's why I've searched every menu option looking for something would turn them on.

Every time you make a post you have to tick a box to show the Signature in a post.

So if you don't have the box tick in your post your Signature will not show for that post.

It appears that your version is different from mine. I don't have that option on the bottom of my posts or threads. Here's a screen shot of the bottom of mine...

The box is checked, but still no signatures showing.

No it's the same my is just is in Advanced Editor (Full Editor). Go edit the post and Go Advanced Editor and check if that box is tick.

I figured out what I did...I just made a new post and the signature shows just fine.

The signatures don't show in my other posts because when I made those posts, I didn't have a signature!!! DUH!

I thought that since I now turned the signatures on, it would show up in all the old posts too, but apparently not.
