vboption boolean issue

im probally just having a brain fart do to lack of sleep but i cant get this to do what i want it to do.

Code:

<if condition="$vboptions[setting] == '1'">

       ON

      <else />

        OFF

      </if>

and my setting

Code:

<setting varname="setting" displayorder="1">

                                <datatype>boolean</datatype>

                                <optioncode>yesno</optioncode>

                                <defaultvalue>1</defaultvalue>

                        </setting>

it just doesnt seem to trigger the if else whether i switch it on or off =/

anywho, off to bed

my issue was an underscrore '_' i knew it was lack of sleep lol.

had setting where i should of had setting_name
