Track unique hits vrs total hits on specifc thread

I would like to run a contest, base the winner on the amount of traffic that is generated by/to the thread. However i would want to base it on unique hits (from unique ip address) not just someone clicking refresh a bunch of times. Perhaps specific GA imbedded in each thread. Any thoughts?
