Flashing page on load
 

Hello,

I've a problem with my page which is using lots of jQuery plugins. It flashes the content till the time that it will be finish loading it.

Some years ago I've met again this issue and I've found a way to solve it but now I don't remember it. But I remember that I had placed some code in the page to not show anything before page loads all content.

Here is my issue:

Have tested with IE, FF and Chrome and with all I've the same issue.

I thought that the problem is coming from the timeline plugin, but I've it on another page and works fine:

The onlye difference is that on the other page I don't have the sidebar.

I don't seem to have the problems you are having. I have used other browsers and other pc's even my ipad. Try a different pc see if that helps

I also went to that link and I see everything fine my Man ...

The photos.php page works just fine for me. However, the only sideblock on there just has a bunch of junk - "sdasdasdsadasd". So, perhaps we aren't seeing the sideblock you are seeing that is causing the issue? Do we need a test login in order to view the problem?

Thank you all, but at least for me the issue still exists.

Maybe is better to make more clear about what I mean by saying "flashing". The page has 6 blocks of images. When the page loads the header/body/footer of vB appears fine plus the last block image. Seconds later this block image goes to his right position (bottom right) and the other 5 blocks appearin in the screen.

@Lynne That data in sidebar are dummy. I added them to check if the problem is because the sidebar was empty.

That dammit "rendering" was the word that I've forgot, so my search was not successful.

^ Well when I saw a few examples I thought - "One of these is more than likely what he used on said mod way back when... I bet he'll remember when he sees these examples". Just remember you can be very vague OR very descriptive when using a search engine but sometimes like you noted the actual word matters in your case "rendering" but for me I typed in "do not load page until content is loaded" and that was one of the search results.
