Restricting Admin User Editing

Hello,

How can I make it so admins can assign a user a certain(specified) usergroup, along with modifying their usertitle without giving them access to the AdminCP / full user section?

(P.S: Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this is my first post here!)

Thanks,
Evan

If you want a usergroup to be able to use a custom title, do this.

ACP --> Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager, once there select which usergroup you want to have that privilege, and edit that group, now look for the block titled, General Permissions, and then the setting, Can Use Custom Title, make sure that is set to Yes.

If this option is enabled, members of this usergroup will be able to enter a custom title in the Edit Profile section of their User CP. The custom title will be displayed in the user's posts and profile page in place of any title specified for their group or post count (see User Title Manager).

No I mean an administrator can modify a certain user to a certain set of usergroups(and those only), along with modifying their user title. I'd perfer this be done outside of the Admin Control Panel, additionally.

Thanks.

So you want to, as a administrator, to be able to change a users usergroups from outside the ACP?

Yes, but only to specific usergroups. I am not really leaning towards being in an admin group, but more of a userid type of thing to be allowed to perform such an action...

I don't think that is possible, and I don't recall seeing a mod to be able to do that.

We had a small code change, to define who could edit which group in ACP, but not for assigning
them to users.
Me also dont know any forum or cms where you can define who can assign what to whom.

The only way to do this would be to hire a coder to make it.

To be honest, it can be inside the ACP. Like even the normal "User" editing would be fine, but I'd like a specific administrator(or even according to usergroup) be able to edit users in certain groups(kind-of like teamspeak permissions).
