how can i pull out the 10 hottest threads for the past week or month?
is this possible?

Sure there is, but what is it you are wanting to do with them?

Yes I found this one, but this gets the hottest threads since the forum started. Even if the thread is year old, as long as it gets the minimum criteria for hottest thread, it will appear..

im looking for something that can show only from the past week or month..

Well you could use that mod, and edit the PHP to do what you need. I don't think their is one available that does it by default for the past week/month.
