can i disable the cms?

I am planning to buy vbulletin 4.2 publishing suite this week. I want to use the forum and the blog, but not the cms. Is there a way i can disable the cms?

You can disable the cms from the plugin manager, but to get support on this site, you need to be a licensed member first question was free lol

Force, the Op is allowed to ask that question or any question like it. They are asking in the Pre Sales forum before they purchase if something is possible with the software. This is not the first time you have done this. They were not looking for specific support, they are asking a pre sales question. Please stop telling members in this forum they need to be licensed. :)

As for the OP, yes you can do this. But do note, that you can not purchase just vB4. You will need to purchase a vB5 license, which will allow you access to vB5, vB4 and vB3. So you can download the latest vB4 build and run that. :) Remember though, you can only run one site per license.
