Display Questions

Hi everyone. Sorry to bother, but I have been a user on several Vbulletin sites for years, and now that I have one of my own, recently purchased, I cannot get my VB5 forums to look anything like the forums I am used to. The way this forum looks when you enter the forums is what I want, yet for some reason, I cant make mine look this way. Did they make such a substantive change that its no longer possible to have it look like VB4 or is there something I am missing? Thanks!

Nope, vB5 is completely different. Why if it is a new site, why not just run vB4?

You answered your own question. Who do YOU know that purchased the old version of the software when they expect the new version to be better, security issues fixed, etc, etc.

In the very least they could have made a SKIN that gave you VB4 look. Are you kidding me?
So, all geniuses this is your call to arms... make us a skin so we can have what is proven to work. Those things that MADE VB in the first place. :) WOW!

I know quite a few people that have purchased vB5, ( as that is the only option you have now ) and are not using it, but are using vB4 or vB3 versions of the software. Because they did their homework, and decided they did not like vB5.

Why would a new and completely different system need a style like a previous version? Going from vB3 to vB4 was the same thing. Styles were completely different, some people liked it, and some did not. You can't please everyone.

If you want your vb5 to look like vB4 visually, you could hire someone to make you a style to resemble vB4. :)

It depends on which you want to customize vb5 like vb4. HOnestly, i can make a style vb5 looks like vb4 but I didn't use vb5 version because it has less addons now
