Need help, facebook connect loop
 

Hello everyone, I need some help:

I'm trying to add the facebook connect button to my forums, but when I do i get a message of a redirect loop and can't access the forums, only way to access them is to disable the facebook connect option in ACP.

AP ID is corect
AP secret is correct
Site URL is correct
Site domain is correct

Any ideas, I have seen a lot of people with this issue and none the other fixes seem to work for me.

Running vBulletin 4.1.8

I'd suggest updating to 4.2.x but I don't think the facebook connect works unless you have the old API.. At least that's what I was told on twitter when I asked if the facebook login still worked with vBulletin.

Why it hasn't been fixed is beyond me.

I would like to update but thats always scary for me, unless Im 100% sure that will fix the issue, I'm not taking any chances, lol, gonna keep searching I guess.

TBH you really really should upgrade, there is unpatched security issues in anything below 4.2.2 pl2 that you are leaving your self open to.

As Brandon said, facebook changed the api and unless you are using an old app, you won't be able to use Facebook Connect with your vB4 board.
