facebook sdk

I'm trying to set up the Facebook Connect feature in vb4. I have options of "enable facebook platform" to "yes", facebook app ID and Secret is in and saved. The fconnect button shows up next to the login portion of the page on the top right. When I hover over the button, I get www.example.com/# and is unclickable.

I searched for an updated guide but unable to find any. Your help is appreciated. Maybe I'm doing something wrong in creating the app in facebook.

I've seen a couple posts recently that mentioned that the facebook connect features of vb4 aren't compatible with the current facebook api, or something like that.

Thanks for the reply. I got it to work. In the fb app page url, I had https:// an changed it to http:// and it works fine.

Glad to hear that. I was just reading a thread at vbulletin.com that sounded like it wasn't going to work any more, but I guess that was wrong or else I misunderstood.

So it turns out that the only thing that the http:// did was allow the pop up window for fb log in. Otherwise, can't get it to work. After log in, the browser errors out saying loop error.

Vbulletin.com shows the problem to be the API/FBML.
