favicon help

Hi all. I have changed my favicon to a custom one, replacing the vB one. The favicon.ico seems to work on my domain www.example.com. My vB board is installed at www.example.com/forum. I cannot get the icon to show up when I'm on the vB board. It works flawlessly on several devices when I'm at www.example.com (my domain), but when I go to the board (www.example.com/forum), it disappears and I get the default vB icon again. I have the favicon.ico in my root directory (example.com folder) and have added the <link> tag to my <head> tag in my index.html page.

Any ideas?

Try also replacing the one in the forum folder as well. Also it sometimes takes a bit for it to change, clear your cache and cookies, restart your computer, and see if it changed.
