attachment error

I recently added cloudflare to my forum and all attachment upload gives this error 503

Code:

[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]

tested uplolad with admincp maintenance: upload successful

Ive changed attachment settings from flash to ajax and it works but i dont understand what happened?

If it works with Ajax then don't worry about it as long as it is working, but it could be a number of reasons
Directory permission issue
htaccess
php.ini
Just a few reasons above

I've also noticed when navigating from page to page sometimes it hangs on loading any ideas if this would be the cause of a setting in cloudflare?
