Conversion phpBB to vBulletin

We would like to upgrade our forums to vBulletin, but we also would like to keep the posts and registered users in the database,

Lynne 11-15-2014 08:23 PM

You may use ImpEx to import your phpBB forum into vB4 and then upgrade your site from vB4 to vB5 (if you wanted to run vB5). There is no ImpEx to go directly to vB5.

You are currently showing up as unlicensed.

To be able to download modifications and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (vB-Germany users click here) and enter your email address. You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive.

To protect our customers privacy you will also need to Opt-In to license validation for all Support Sites. You must authorise vBulletin.org in order to validate your license status here. You can do this at the page linked above for your distributor. Make sure to set the permission to allow vBulletin.org to validate your status.

The update of your account can take up to one hour.

Thank you.

Its a Pre-sales forum, its possible that they are asking this question before they fork out all the money on vb. No need in paying a lot of money if you cannot convert your current forum to a new forum and lose all the data, so I'm unclear as to why you posted that. :)

In this case, Len is correct. As the OP asked if they switch their forums to vBulletin, from what ever they are using, if their posts and users would remain intact. :) They were not looking for specific support.

I am just trying to figure out why Force replied to a post that is a month old, after Lynne already handled it. :)

LOL did not even see that. I thought it was odd that he was giving the standard vb mod post about license stuff when it does not look he's a mod! :) Maybe he's applying for the job??
