how do i make a forum that only the user can see.

Do you mean that you want a forum that guests cannot see? Then you can go to Forum Permissions and edit the permissions for "Unregistered / Not logged in" for that forum, and turn off the appropriate permissions.

This would be a large resource hog on your server if you have a large member base. Are you wanting this to be available to all members or just to one or select few?

Create a testforum, and set permissions so users can only threads they created themselves, not threads created by others. This way it will seem as if every user has its own private test forum.

i don't know why it would be a server hog, it would be just like any forum right?

I never said this would be a server hog, no matter to how many users you would offer access. Indeed its like any other forum.

The resource hog objection came from TheInsaneManiac, who obviously thought about creating a seperate forum for every user.
