Make Forum the home page

VB 4.2.2

I want to make forum.php the home page (the website will be just a forum - no blog or articles).

I have read, in several forums, to change the index.php. They all show this snippet:

/**
* Use the CMS as the default script:
*/

// require('content.php');

/**
* Use the forum as the default script:
*/

require('forum.php');

But my index.php looks like this:

/* Tell forum.php to redirect
to the default url as defined
in the navigation manager */
define('VB_REDIRECT', true);

/**
* If you want to move this file to the root of your website, change the
* line below to your vBulletin directory and uncomment it (delete the //).
*
* For example, if vBulletin is installed in '/forum' the line should
* state: define('VB_RELATIVE_PATH', 'forum');
*
* Note: You may need to change the cookie path of your vBulletin
* installation to enable your users to log in at the root of your website.
* If you move this file to the root of your website then you should ensure
* the cookie path is set to '/'.
*
* See 'Admin Control Panel
* ->Cookies and HTTP Header Options
* ->Path to Save Cookies
*/

//define('VB_RELATIVE_PATH', 'forum');

// Do not edit anything below //
if (defined('VB_RELATIVE_PATH'))
{
chdir('./' . VB_RELATIVE_PATH);
}

require('forum.php');

I have tried changing stuff in this index.php file and no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks

when i was using vb4, i copied everything from the forum.php file over to index.php. so then the url to the forum was just mydomain.com. not mydomain.com/forum.php.
a client of mine done the same thing. although before i did that im pretty sure i went to Forum Home: Options>>Script Name for Forum Home Page change to "index".
not sure if its this you are asking.

Thanks for your reply!

Found out how to do it, though.....they have built in a way to do it through admincp.

settings>navigation manager and then select 'set default' from the drop down menu.
