Blank page at admincp

Hello,

I'm getting a blank page when I'm trying to access directly the admincp (..../admincp/). I'm saying directly because I found a strange way to access it, like:
  1. Login from frontend
  2. The system recognizes me as Admin that's why the links "Mod" and "Admin" are active.
  3. Open in a new tab the Mod link. System asks me to login. So now I'm logon to Moderator CP.
  4. From the frontend page again I'm opening in a new tab the "Admin" link. Now without any other login form I can access the Admin CP
This is the only way that I can access the admicp. In all other cases I'm getting a blank page.

PHP 5.3.3
vB 4.2.2 Patch Level 1

Thank you

What steps have you already tried for basic resolution? (Save us a bit of time. :))

Replaced Core vBulletin Files.
Run suspect files in maintenance.
Shut off hooks/plugin system from the config.php.
Checked server logs. (Especially PHP log)
Tried a different Admin account.
Tried a different browser.

:)

You need to ask yourself what did you do before this happened, ie: installed a new plugin, change a template, installed a new style, changed hosts. etc etc

I've seen this before, and haven't been able to nail it down. Most of the time people changed webhosts and then it worked again. PHP 5.3.3 is sorely buggy and out of date. Please get your webhost to upgrade to 5.3.29 at a MININUM.

@ForceHSS

The only that I did before it happened was the ...installation :) . This issue appeared when I clicked "Goto AdminCP" just after a successful installation. So no plugins, no styles installed. I mean 3nd party mods/styles. Just vB core.

@Zachery

Even if I'll do a fresh installation right now, I don't believe that it's a server's or PHP version issue as I installed it in another directory on the same domain and it works.

But thinking in a funny way, I think that it will be good idea to keep it as is. Should be the most secure installation :) If a hacker needs to have 3 tabs open (frontend, modcp, admicp) to be able to work in admincp, is really secure. I forgot to say that closing the modcp window and clicking any link in admincp shows again a blank page.

Finally I upgraded to 5.4.33 and now everything works fine. Thank you all.
