Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask? A. In ACP->Settings->Options->Message Posting and Editing Options->Automatically Quote Post / Thread Title with this description:
"Setting this to 'Yes' will automatically fill the title field of new posts with either the thread or the parent post title, prefixed by 'Re: '. The user may specify their own title if they want to do so." I'm using setting No. And unless user specifically sets some post title (which sometimes is very useful and I use it for SEO purposes, to insert additional keywords to certain posts and/or threads), there's no post title. Isn't this better solution? It really can have SEO benefits (I tested it, it works). Just to mention... |
So it don't show it in the first post either?
Also that setting is global, this way you can choose which forums this affects. |
First post's title could have different words from thread title, but I'm more worried about other posts, where I could gain SEO important keywords.
Anyway, as always, if someone likes it and uses your mod, great. |
Absolutely, this may not be for everyone, but hopefully some find it useful. As always your input is appreciated. :)
