A. Some admins might like to hide the thread titles in posts, as it tends to look a little cluttered.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

I appreciate the support!

In ACP->Settings->Options->Message Posting and Editing Options->Automatically Quote Post / Thread Title with this description:

"Setting this to 'Yes' will automatically fill the title field of new posts with either the thread or the parent post title, prefixed by 'Re: '.

The user may specify their own title if they want to do so."

I'm using setting No. And unless user specifically sets some post title (which sometimes is very useful and I use it for SEO purposes, to insert additional keywords to certain posts and/or threads), there's no post title.

Isn't this better solution? It really can have SEO benefits (I tested it, it works).

Just to mention...

ozzy47 08-07-2014 12:28 PM

So it don't show it in the first post either?

Also that setting is global, this way you can choose which forums this affects.

First post's title could have different words from thread title, but I'm more worried about other posts, where I could gain SEO important keywords.

Anyway, as always, if someone likes it and uses your mod, great.

Absolutely, this may not be for everyone, but hopefully some find it useful. As always your input is appreciated. :)
