Promotion to another rank?
 

When a person registers on my forum, their default rank is Registered User. I set it up so that the person can only see the application section, and must apply (creating a thread). I set up my promotion so that after the person makes their one post, it promotes them to the next usergroup so that they can see more of the forum. I tried this on a dummy account but it did not work. Did i miss a step?

I have not used the ranking system so I am only making an educated guess here. Go to ACP --> Maintenance and "Update User Titles and Ranks".

It updates from the scheduled tasks User Promotions runs once every hour
