[OzzModz] Different Time Limit On Editing Of Posts For Each Usergroup

Another mod brought to you by,
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/1.png

This is a small mod that will allow admins to have different time limits for editing posts.

It is a simple installation, upload the contents of the upload folder to your site, then import the product XML, ozzmodz_edit_post_groups

There is only one setting for the mod under, [OzzModz] Different Time Limit On Editing Of Posts Settings

You will have to edit each usergroup individually, and find the option, Time Limit on Editing of Posts, which should be in the group, Post / Thread Permissions. Note, if you do not set a time for a group, it will stay at the default Time Limit on Editing of Posts you set up in vBoptions.

Remember this will not affect admins/moderators, as they are imune from the setting.

Complete Feature List
  • Option to disable the mod completely.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask?

A. Sometimes you want your usergroups to have different times to edit their posts, rather than the standard Time Limit on Editing of Posts.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

I appreciate the support!

Great MOD @Ozzy47, now if I could only have this MOD work for only certain days of the week. :) <joking>

LOL, that would be possible, but I doubt I would add it. :)

Just to ask, if we want to have no limit on editing, do we use 0?

No, I had to use zero as a empty number. So just set it for some high amount.

ozzy anyway to make this or a new mod so I can edit the time limit I have globally set in the settings on a per Forum basis instead of a UserGroup basis?

I have one Forum I would like members to be able to edit their posts at any time but all other Forums I want the time limit still there...
