Moderator banning priviledges
This may have already been asked but I have looked and cannot find the answer. When a moderator bans someone is it just from their forum or from the site as a whole? If it is from the whole site, does anyone know of a hack that would limit it to just their forum?
Thanks in advance for any replies that I get. |
It bans them site wide. I don't know of a mod that just does it per forum.

When you ban a user, you 'ban' them into a usergroup (one that has "This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group" set to No in the Forum Manager). So, you could create a usergroup that has "This Usergroup is not a 'Banned' Group" set to No and then set the permissions so that users in that usergroup can't see certain forums. Then the moderator can select that usergroup when banning the user.

Wow, thanks, Lynne you are awesomesauce. you would have thought as long as I have been around I would have figured this out by now.

There's also a Mod on here for banning people from threads only.
