Another mod brought to you by,
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/01/1.png This is a small mod that will allow admins to set up htaccess login for their ModCp, without file edits, or cpanel. It is a simple installation, just import the product XML, ozzmodz_secure_modcp You can edit the options under the settings, [OzzModz] ModCP Authentication Settings Once you set up the options, you can then share the username and password with all your members that are allowed to access the ModCp. Frequently Asked Questions. Q. Why do I need this mod? A. This just adds a extra layer of security to your ModCp, by asking for a additional username and password, in order to log in to it. Sure you can do this with file edits or in cpanel, but why bother, this makes it simple. Q. Why did you make this mod? A. It was something I was doing by editing the modcp/index.php file, but I would always forget to make the changes when I updated the site. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like this mod please hit the https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/08/1.png button to the right ----> Please remember to click the, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2015/08/2.png button to the right if you installed the mod ----> What does 'Marking As Installed' do ? * It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available. * For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention. * Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications. Thanks for the mod Ozzy47
Now that I have your mod pass security auth + my server security auth, I think it is great to have double security measures. it would be also a great idea to have 2-factor authentication as well... Edit: the mod works besides my server security, but the authentication conditionals are not accepted!! |
Yeah I don't think the two will work together.

Great sounding mod. Is this ONLY for ModCp or AdminCp? Would be nice to see these options available for both:
1. Mod's username used for htaccess username 2. A log each time a mod/admin logs in wether it's a correct or incorrect password |
Quote:
1) That would kinda defeat the purpose of having a different username, thus making this slightly less secure. 2) Perhaps at some point, but it is not a high priority. |
i have installed this mod
set a user name and password but when i try to login with that user name password it wont accept why |
