Header/NavBar Like LandThieves.com
 

I know a lot of people ask about the site, so kudos to the owners :up:

Anyway, I was wondering how hard it would be to create something that loosely resembles their header and navbar area?

e.g. having the large bg image / logo, and the banner styled navbar.

I'm not wanting to copy it or anything, I just have an idea for a design that takes inspiration from that and would look awesome / be relevant to my website.

They are all known techniques, but original to their style. Any descent web-designer should be able to handle the graphics end and a front-end web-developer to handle the rest. My definition of web-designer is the person who designs and creates the graphics.

All of the techniques can be easily Google'd with a bit of effort. You would have to ask a specific question for myself or others to be of any assistance.

All of the graphics I can do myself as I've designed a few websites, I've just never had to do the coding.

Hmm, I might take a shot at it when I'm done with exams. If it's too complicated I'll definitely get someone else on board to help out with that. My only main concern is the navbar as I've had issues with it working properly in the past.

When you have specific programming questions ask in the programming area. You will usually receive pretty decent help if you can show us the code snippet that you are stuck on and explain where you need to go with it.

It is the open ended questions that our difficult to answer and that most of us do not have the time for.

Yeah, hot site, wonderful graphics, we need more like this

It is a clean and original looking forum, but using some common tweaks. It all takes hours/days to get it that way. So I agree. :)
