Choose usergroup at registration

Hello,

I hope this is the right forum. I tried to install the following mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...ight=usergroup
This mod should be compatible with my vBulletin version (4.2.2), unfortunately I didn't get it working and the coder wasn't online for a year.
I need a mod, where users can choose their prospective usergroup. When they register, there should be 2 radiobuttons, option X and option Y. If they choose option X, they will be moved to usergroup X after confirming their email and being activated by an admin. If they choose option Y, they will be moved to usergroup Y.
I followed the installation instructions on the mod page, checked it several times, but users still get moved to the default usergroup after being activated.

I really need this modification, is there anyone who could figure this out?

I appreciate your help!

Best regards,
Moritz

I have the same need. But I will be enough when user choose if is X or Y on the registration process and user profiles data will differ later when he goes to the profile to fill it after the registration. Moritz, please let me when you find some solution, I will let you too. Thanks.

If you need a modification, please post in the "request forums", unpaid or paid. :) In this forum we usually discuss programming methods or your own projects pertaining to vbulletin products -- although not inclusive.

I don't need a new modification, I just need support for an existing mod. I think this is a programming discussion, because the code provided on the mod page just doesn't work properly ;)

If you are discussing a modification, you need to do that in the modification's thread. There is only so much we can do in discussing an author's modification -- depending on the rights given to us by the modification's author. Thank you.
