Can you change one specific Icon Folder?

I have searched about changing the Folder icon next to the Titles.
It seems like it changes all of them. Is there a way to make each one different?
I want to theme up the Icon with the Title.

Thanks in advance. Sorry if I overlooked a post on this.

If you want your own status icons for a particular forum, you would enter a prefix, or directory, into the Forum Manager where it says "Prefix for Forum Status Images" Then you need to create a new icon for each of the following and either add the prefix to the beginning of the name, or put them in the directory you listed in that box:

forum_link-48.png
forum_new_lock-48.png
forum_new-48.png
forum_old_lock-48.png
forum_old-48.png

Thank you Lynne. I think I understand that.

Can you (or someone) post and example of adding the prefix?
Just to make sure I got it and naming it correctly.

Thanks again :)

Well, if you enter "forum1_" as the prefix, then you would create five new icons:

forum1_forum_link-48.png
forum1_forum_new_lock-48.png
forum1_forum_new-48.png
forum1_forum_old_lock-48.png
forum1_forum_old-48.png

Lynne,

If you don't mind, a few follow up questions. Can I make my Icons 60 x 60?
Will the cells adjust on their own? Any different instructions?

This is my first time doing this, so I want to clarify.

My first step is to go to Forum Manager > Edit Forum > Prefix for Forum Status Images > type in: forum1 > Save

Then go to cPanel into statusicons, and add the icons?
(I do use 2 sets of skins. Which are under images > Seamus > statusicons)

I watched the vB YouTube channel. It's different than these instructions. So that's why I'm want to clarify. In the video they have you create a folder with the 5 icons in them, then upload the folder into statusicon folder in the Seamus skin. However when I click on statusicon and upload, it doesn't let me upload the folder. It opens the folder and wants me to upload each icon separately.

The video has you do this cPanel step first, then go into Prefix and enter the name of the folder: /forum1/

Sorry for this being so long. I don't want to mess this up.

Thanks for your time and help.

It would be better if you uploaded the files from an FTP program like fillezilla

If you enter "forum1" as the prefix, then the names will be something like forum1forum_link-48.png . If you enter "forum1_" as the prefix, then the names will be something like forum1_forum_link-48.png . If you enter "/forum1/" as the prefix, then the images will be in a folder and have the original name like /forum1/forum_link-48.png . Some people like to put them in folders, some like to just add a prefix to the name. It's up to you.

As for the size, you may need to adjust the CSS for larger images.

Thanks Force! The less work I have to do with downloading, the more comfortable I am :)

Lynne, I think I finally go it. I gave a closer look at cPanel, and in the screen cap below, I highlighted the statusicon folder within the skin I use. Do I just click on the New Folder button while the statusicon folder is highlighted? That will add the folder which I can name it with the prefix? Then upload the 5 icons into that folder?

It's a vegas icon I'm adding. So if I name the folder vegas, and in the folder the 5 icons are named with out the prefix, correct? Since the folder is named I don't need to put a vegas prefix on each Icon?

Then in Forum Manager in Prefix for Forum Status Images, I would type: /vegas/
Does that sound correct?

Hope I explained that to where it's understandable. Thanks again. I'm almost there :)

Everything sounds fine, except I am not a cPanel user - I just use a regular ftp program like Force suggested - and so I don't know off-the-top-of-my-head what you would do to add a folder.
