Choose usergroup at registration

Hello all.

Does anybody know of a way to add options at registration?

I mean options where the user can choose from one of a number of different usergroups as they sign up?

Example:

Teacher
Student
Volunteer

And after registration is complete, the user is automatically put into the chosen usergroup?
