Greetings.

I have subscribed to numerous threads on the site I am working with but get no notifications.
I go to my profile/settings and see the threads I am subscribed to but I get no notifications.

I have set it 'Through my control panel only'. Is there any other place I should go to activate this function?

What kind of notifications do you expect when you set it up that way? You're getting exactly what you want - a list of subscribed threads in your control panel. If you want to get emails, you need to choose that option.

Well from what I gathered, a notification that is a popup the same as most other notifications would be ideal. You know, something that tells the user that there has been some activity in the subscribed thread rather than the user having to go and search for activity every time.
A sensible approach if you like. None of this primitive digging around nonsense.
Something misleading about the wording as far as I am concerned.

Now this is more like it and it seems I have this already according to a post made in that thread almost a year ago. I wonder what happened to that?
I shall check it now.
