disabling quotes
 
Is there a way to disable quotes for a specific usergroup in the ACP? OR is there a way to block the quoted text from showing up when a member quotes a post (I know this can be done in phpBB)?

I am running a forum where members post a lot of pictures using BBCode from sites like imagebam, we have a problem with other members quoting these posts and copying the links to use on other forums (which is against the rules). I am looking for a way to stop this from happening in vBulletin 4.2, or with an add-on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

You would need some kind of mod to be able to disable use of the QUOTE bbcode. I don't know if one exists or not.

But I don't see how disabling QUOTE solves the problem. The QUOTE bbcode is just a way to display quotes. Without it, members could still copy and paste a URL.
