Plug-ins and add ons ...
 

Since I'm starting out with a clean fresh vb install and domain/host I've decided to think ahead before installing any plug-ins or addons. The fact that there are so many problems with some changes that affect other changes has made me think differently about customizing my site.

The only add on I don't have yet is one I can't find on here now. Can't remember the name of it but it allows multiple quotes by just highlighting text in a post.

I also don't mind the VSA shout box as it has always served me well and has very little to do with anything else so, the conflicts are not very likely.

Wouldn't it be neat if there was a list of known conflicts between all pluigins, mods, and template changes?

Oh well I'm out of coffee so I'll end this.

They have sorted their footer now, looks more like this now:

That is still an advertisement in the footer. There are plenty of mods without such advertising.

Anyway- to the list of mod conflicts- honestly they are so rare I don't see it being that useful. If I find a conflict I note it on the first post of my mods- but even with over a hundred installed on different forums I hit a conflict only once or twice, and it simply stopped a mod from working, didn't cause any kind of catastrophic error.
