Perhaps you need to add a field to your thread where the users need to enter the movieid in order to submit the thread? I think there is a modification or article on how to do that. Then just use the movieid with that html to make the image.

if you are do this addon work for here and auto detect [imdb] bbcode.
if there is imdb bbcode, works imdb rating
if there isnt bbcode dont work rating..on title...

i think this is perfect settings.
