Setting hybrid view mode as default for guests

Hi!

How would i go about making the hybrid view mode (not threaded) as default viewing for guests? I have looked and apparently there is no option to do this vie ACP, but perhaps some coding ? seems like something quite straightforward!

Would appreciate any help
