Words exist, but returns "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
 

Hello,

i search "vnc" without quotes on my forum and it returned "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

but my forum contains topics with these words.

i have enabled minimum 3 characters search in Message searching options

and i did "Rebuild Search Index" from AdminCP, but still returns above error

MySQL Fulltext also has its own minimum word length that must be changed at the server level.

Thanks Lynne, so this must be changed in mysql config file ie: /etc/my.cnf , and dedi or vps server is needed, on shared hosting i cant do this?

Then you would need to contact your host and see if they can do it for you.
