Merging posts to Threads with different times
 

So this is the first time I have needed to do this and thus found this problem

There were some posts being made on my Forum which I decided I wanted to merge with a new Thread.

Now I wanted to make this new Thread then merge the posts from the other Thread into it.
But it didn't work that way.

Why, well let's say the posts i wanted to move were posted at 2:30pm
I started my Thread at 2:50pm
When I then merged the posts into my newly created Thread, it merged them to the top and my actual OP Thread was say 6 posts down.

I am guessing the vB default works off time when doing such a operation.

So is there anyone who can make a mod to make it work the way I wanted it to do?

Or anyone really if you can..

I don't actually need this mod, as in no reason to put it in the 'Paid' section, but who knows in the future I might want to do the same as today and maybe it would help others too..

Well the problem with this I think is that it's not the merging function, but the way threads are displayed. Assuming you are using "linear" mode, they're sorted by time. So you'd either have to modify the times on the posts, or else come up with a new way to order posts in a thread.

How would one modify the times of the posts?

Maybe an easy mod could be made just for changing times of posts I guess....like the vB 3 version you linked..
