embed link to your profile on other sites
 
is there way to make some JS or an iframe etc which links to and shows stats from their forum profile

id like to allow my members to embed their forum profile, links to albums and other bits such as profile pick amoutn of posts etc, on another site. so some nice pretty way for them to link back to their profilebut with some real stats and updating stuff.

anyone done anything like this?

Not that I remember seeing, something like that would have the potential to overload your server. Also it may just open you up to vulnerabilities.

yeah i would imagine it would need a caching part to it to be able to work well otherwise as you say it could result in a lot of queries / requests for some specific profiles

but in terms of security worries id hope it would be the same that facebook might face providing a page feed for embedding on another site. ie none as its only one way information

anyone got any possible routes to do this? or seen anything similar?
