Change User Settings For Bounced Emails
 
Im running 4.2.2 on a large forum and finally tired of the bounced emails coming back due to deleted of old emails that no longer accept emails, wondering if there is a fix for this other then going through and changing thousands of users settings manually?

Thank you for any help you could give in finding a solution for this issue.

What does the bounced email handler do?
It stops sending emails to addresses that are no longer valid. This helps keep your email from being marked as spam.

More technically:
  1. It collects bounced emails, counts them and marks user accounts as "do not send email".
  2. It stops sending "new post" notifications to those addresses.
