How do I get the forum description box ?

I really don't know what to call it so I said forum description box. Because I don't know what it's really called, I don't know what to do a search for to figure this out. LOL

What I mean is the box that shows under the menu bar that describes what forum I am in. I think this is really useful and would like to set this up on my board but, like I mentioned above, I don't know what to search for! So if anyone can point me in the right direction for 4.2.2 it would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Rob

That should bd in the Forum Manager, for each forum you set up, you can enter a description.

Yeah, I know how to enter a forum description in the forum manager and that works perfectly fine. What I mean is when you go into a forum here, there is a box just under the menu bar and above the 'New Thread' button that contains the same description. I've also seen something similar on other forums that gives a warning that the thread you are in is very old.

A screenshot of what you mean to be sure I am thinking of the same thing will help

It should show that by default IIRC, I know it always has for me.

As far as the old thread mod, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=255581

Check, ACP --> Settings --> Options --> Forum Listings Display Options, set the setting Show Forum Descriptions in Forum Listings to Yes.

Yes, was thinking you where after that setting

Barcham 03-04-2014 11:43 PM

OK...I think I really need to take a break from looking for mods for my board. It was there all along but it's under the Post New Thread button instead and not in an outlined box. DUH!!! :D

Thanks for all the help, guys! As usual, you go above what I could possibly expect!!!
