Having multiple forum

If I have multiple vB4 licenses and wanted to have multiple forum.php pages with different skins etc how would I go about doing this?

Having multiple forum.php files within a single installation is not possible.

Each instance of vB would require it's own full installation in order to function in the first place. So, in doing this there would be no conflict and you would just change the skin settings in each individual installation to what you'd like.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you are asking if you can offer different skin options for the same vBulletin installation (single license). You would either create or upload a new style and then set this other style(s) as an option in the Style Manager. It would then be available as a user changeable option (typically the option to change styles resides in the footer).

Hey Big Cat - it's Inked Ivy here :P

I think I know what you're trying to achieve (like how XG has a different "forum" with skin for every section) and it is done by assigning a different default skin to each forum category - this is also then applied to the CMS sections the same way. That way it looks like you are using a different forum per section but it's all based off the same installation.

Uploading multiple forums to your server/domain is uneccessarily complicated if you just want each sections forum to have a different look (I can help you with setting this up if need be).

Ivy, could you possibly show me how that is done? I think I see what you mean the process just confuses me somewhat.

Sure just private message me on this website with the specifics of what you mean and I'll show you how to do it
