Unable to create new threads/posts?

hi

For some reason, why forum hangs when creating new threads or replying to posts. I've installed a couple mods tonight, which I've since uninstalled but It's still doing it.

The only other thing I've done is change the default skin. Any ideas?

Start by disabling all mods/plugins and testing on the default vbulletin skins. If that works re-test on your new skin, the mods/plugins should still be disabled. Once you have done this report back with the results.

To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php
Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

You can also shut off the plugins from the admincp:
ACP --> settings --> options --> Enable Plugin/Hook System: NO

Nothing.

It just hangs where the page might refresh between posting and I get left with a blank white page.

You will have to provide more details if you would like further help. I would have no idea what you have done to cause this problem without some information. In most cases disabling all mods and using the default vbulletin style should do the trick.

Is it possible you modified the vbulletin default style?
Have you confirmed you disabled the plugin system?
What version of vbulletin, what version of PHP are you running?

You can PM me a link to your board with a user test account, maybe I can see why the page is hanging. Make sure you have answered the above questions first.

Ok, so i disabled all mods. Took the site basically back to as bare as I could get it.
Disabled the hooks system and edited the config file.

I created a new skin as suggested and used that. - Didn't work.

I'm running 4.2.2 PHP 5.2.17

Resolved this.

One of the mods was had a post.php edit which was incorrect. Have deleted the extra coding as is now fine.
