Is there a way to display the number of posts in the Thread in the Eternal Data Provider xml or js

You would need to modify the external.php file to do this. If you look at the query about halfway down the page, you will see that the postcount isn't even selected. So, you would need to add that to the query, then assign it a variable, and then spit it out onto the page.

Not that I know of. Have you tried a search?
