Advertising space

I notice that in the Admin CP I can add advertisements in different locations using HTML's. But how would I go about adding a graphic advertising to my vendors that the forum has advertising space?

Basically, I would like to have a graphic of some sort saying "advertise here" or "advertise with us" in the locations available for advertising.

Thanks,
MLF

Just create a banner or graphic for those spaces and fill in the necessary details Ad location, HTML etc.
Or perhaps I am misunderstanding your question?

more likely I'm not explaining it well ... trying to learn vB Admin on the fly :o

what I am wondering is would it be possible to use a graphic in the ad locations without requiring an HTML? Just an image that says "advertise here" or "advertise with us"?

I'd like for our Vendors to see that we have ad space that they can use :)

It would work yes. it is quite simple I think.
Just create your graphic, put it in a folder at your forum root.
Create a new ad ACP>Advertising>Add new Ad, give it a name. Fill in the details in the Ad HTML box. You have to do this so the software knows where to pull the banner from.
Then save..

You should get a result..
After that, you can edit and fiddle around with the conditions 'Display Ad if'

The image you would want to use as an ad would need to be called from some place.
I have created my own image just to test this out and it worked.
Create a folder on the server at root level for instance. Call it ad_folder or something..
Put your image/banner inside the folder (remembering the address of course).

Example: <img src="ad_folder/image_title.png" alt="Put something here" "width="xxx" height="xxx">

Change the xxx to suit your needs...
