Will vbcloud be the end to modifications?

I see there are 2 announcements in this forum about the new "vbcloud"

You can not export your style, or database at this time in the cloud and you can not install any plugins...
So what will that do to the comnunity here?

Does vBulletin expect anyone other then brand new forums to sign up for this service?
What happen to vBulletin working as the best forum software, it seems it's only for small forums anymore?

I imagine, since I didn't see any indication that this was replacing vB default, it was just a alternative way to host. So, yes, it's probably exclusively for people looking to start a new board. But the other vBs will still be there.

It says starting with 5.0.6, it would be worth it to include 4.x imo.

vB Cloud is a self hosted solution, so some things are more locked down than they would otherwise be.

I suspect nothing will change drastically here, we're still working on the core product.

Since the vbcloud is pretty new, it's reasonable that some features are still in testing & thus "not available at this time".
