VB 4.2.2 mobile style - No attachment uploader?

Hi everyone,

Just upgraded to 4.2.2 from 4.0.3.

I activated the default mobile style but unless I am going mad you can't upload attachments using the mobile style, is that true???

Would of loved the Thanks button to work on the mobile version too but alas that would have to be recoded to suit I would imagine.

Appreciate any help:)

Anyone?

Surely there has to be someone here using the mobile style that can confirm or deny this please?

In my opinion:

When the mobile style was written, uploading a picture through HTML to a mobile OS for the most part was not possible. Apparently the code has not been upgraded to include this since then.

Your welcome.

Although not directly related to your question, you should check out Tapatalk: it has an upload option. I have not used Forum Runner, but they might also have an upload option. I hope that helps a little. :)

I have had Tapatalk on my forum for about 4 years now. Only to realize that approximately half of my users are using tapa hence half of my income is now lost due to less clicks on AdSense, Ebay Partner Network and other monetization methods.

I also have an advertising company looking after certain spots of my site. They developed their own app through Tapa's interface which has worked well for years running our own adds, etc.

The thanks button works and generally all was well.

News on the grapevine is Tapa will be introducing their own advertising shortly through their apps and I'm now looking at alternatives.

I heard bad reviews on ForumRunner but you can't believe everything you read off the net:D

Real good @andy626, thanks for sharing. In today's mobile age this is an important issue.
