[Spam Example] Any idea of recoving Android Lost Contacts?

I was composing a message and the phone got stuck when I was about to select the recipients. (Wanted to group send message so thatÂ’s why I was not answering directly.) After waiting for a while the phone was still not responding then I forced to shut down and turned it on again. Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers. Good grief! NO CONTACTS! EMPTY! Why? What happened?

I first tried to sync Gmail contacts back to my HTC, however when I logged in to Gmail and it was the same! NO CONTACTS!

Long story short, I finally found Myjad Android Contact Recovery which seems to be useful because I want simply the contacts. So is there anyone tried successfully restoring lost contacts with this program? Any advice? Many thanks!

This is a forum dedicated to vBulletin support. You might be better off asking in a Android support forum.

Looks like crafty spam to me. First post on a Vbulletin forum posting about an Android app?

Google search yields:

Now we know ;).

I choose to ban the member manually for spam instead of using moderation tools, why? To leave this thread up and explain an easy way to check spam if you're unsure ;).

*This could have been legitimate, RichieBoy's suspicion is one most make but you must be 100% sure on business/company related sites, he could have been legit so we must always check!

Do the following:

First:
  1. Take their name and simply search for it online Google/Bing/Yahoo etc.
  2. Look for Profile links on forums with the same name in the results list.
  3. On three to five of the links view their profile.
  4. Click on "Find all posts by Username".

Second:
  1. Copy part of their post.
  2. Now search for it on Google/Bing/Yahoo.
  3. On three to five of the links view the post.

Are the threads/posts on those forums identical to yours?
- If so then you have a 100% verified spammer.
- In some cases if the username is identical, then registration on the last few links listed in the search results will be within minutes of each other.

Your method is ok some of the time but a spammer may use different names entered into a program such as xrumer.
I find a better way to do it is to copy a chunk of what they've written. Using quotes and all, this returns over 400 results.

"Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers"

Yes that may be true however copy a chunk of this code (I did this as well) and it was all over the place HTC and such on different forums nothing in particular but still best to do both, added to above!

As an avid Android user as I hope most are here I will never use an app that company makes. If they are not above spamming the internet with their keywords then they surely are not against malware.
