Require vb4 conditions / plugin hiding forumID on forumhome for usergroup ID's

Here's my problem.

I've created 2 new sub-sections and 1 new join-able usergroup. A usergroup where people are free to join and leave for themselves through the user control panel.

The first sub-section being a URL sub-forum that links you to a custom page on how to join the join-able usergroup. The second sub-section is the new forum posting section you'll see once you've joined the join-able usergroup.

Now, the problem is that both sub-forums (the sub-forum link / url & the real deal) are both visible at all times for all those who have joined the custom public group. Regardless of what permissions I set up:

Quote:

Forum permissions:
- Registered usergroup -> URL sub-section -> Can view -> YES
- Joinable usergroup -> URL sub-section -> Can view -> NO
- Other usergroups people are using -> URL sub-section -> Can view -> YES
I wish to hide the URL sub-section for those who already have joined the join-able usergroup. But I'm afraid the "yes" keeps overriding with the joinable usergroup's NO. So.. Can someone help me out by sharing their code that I have to set up that if ForumID = and UsergroupID = that it hides the link sub-forum for all that are in that usergroup?

something like:

Quote:

if ($forumid == '156') AND ($vbulletin->userinfo['usergroupid'] == '107' )
{
code here to hide a specific (sub)forum section from sight.
}
^ though I don't know the rest of the code.

Please don't link me to the vb4 condition list, I've already seen it.. I just need some help with it.

-----------

I've already asked on the vB official forums, but they are telling me to sort out the usergroups. But I can't. I have multiple secondary usergroups of which has access to specific sections as well and or specific usergroup permissions. I can't alter any of the groups as I wish to be organized. So I'd like to do it with a plugin instead.
