Idea for new functionality
 

Ok came up with something I really would like to have for my site, and I've come across it on some really big sites, so it might be really expensive but...

I need an index of maybe 30 or 40 names, addresses phone number, web page and email

I want to have the option of showing it either based on sorting the name alphabetically or ultimately have the user be able to put in their own zip code and then get the list reorganized and displayed based closet to farthest.

Has anyone come across this sort of thing?

If I could get that a bonus would be if I could sort them a third way by having a field that puts them into say one out of say four categories

And then you could display them alphabetically based on the chosen category
