Possible to Rebuild IDs?
 

With deleting styles, spam bots and whatever else, there are now big gaps in IDs. For example, User 1, User 2, User 3, User 15 and User 50.

Is there a query that would rebuild all IDs (threads, posts, users, styles, etc.)? So going by the example above, User 15 would become User 4 and User 50 would become User 5.

I purposely don't have a user #1. That's the first one the script kiddies go after because they know that's usually the super admin.

You need to forget about this one, but I know it is hard. What happens when a third party 'mod' uses the users 'userid' in their table/field. If a query was written it would not know about that particular 'mod' and the field would not be updated -- things would break. It is why you will not find such a query easily, dangerous in the wrong hands. :)

Yeah there is waaaaaay to much that can go wrong trying to do something like that, best to forget about it. :)

The amount of effort, and work required to do this is not worth it. You basicly need to install a fresh copy of the software, use impex, and lose anything that isn't default. Is that really worth getting some ids back? No.
