Rebuild attachment thumbnails

Does anybody know if this is a known issue?

On rebuilding thumbnails, each attachment says error.
They are all stored in the file system and worked before but now this..
They all display in their rightful positions too..

Thanks...

Make sure your files truly exist where it expects to see them. If they are, see the following post:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...mbnails-errors

In the future, please attach the error message as it will give us more clarity on the problem. Be sure to check your error logs as well. :)

Strange thing is that when this happens, (3 or4 times before) I also lose the ability to edit articles.
I think they may well be related somewhere..

Rebuilding attachments looks like this..

Also something else that maybe related is in the picture above.

Delete the last attachment on page which is number 77, I then go to attachments/view newest and the newest is attachment 119 and that was the last uploaded..

Buggered if I know..

Are your attachments stored in the database or the filesystem?

Not sure I completely understand here what you are telling me. I can tell you that ID's are linear but not necessarily consecutive. When you delete an attachment it never users that ID again.

You might try CMS "Verify and Rebuild Node Table" and clear the CMS cache. Although, I am not sure of how the two are intertwined at this point.

All data is good data when troubleshooting. :)

These errors in the picture above will just not go away...

I also open manage attachments from the edit post function and get this..

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1386328261

These 2 rogue attachments don't exist but they show here..

Anybody got any idea at all? This is beginning to be a real pain..

Thanks....

What version of vB and what version of PHP?

DemOnstar 12-07-2013 05:35 AM

Apache version 2.2.26
PHP version 5.3.27
MySQL version 5.5.34-log
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linux

vB 4.2.1

This is a persistent problem, and ongoing problem that I have been having for months..
I really have no idea what is going on here, or where it begins or ow to fix it..

I have tried all mods off, default style, no .htaccess. I have an outstanding thread at vB.com about the very same issue..It is preventing any further development and is my one and only issue.. Apart from not being able to edit an article but I think they are part of the same problem..

I asked this before, but it was not answered.

Sorry, I am consumed by this mess.

On the live site, in the file system, on the test site in the DB... I tried both on both sites and makes no difference... Even when I go to acp/manage attachments/search, most of the attachments do not have a name of the person that uploaded..It seems that they are not getting recorded for some reason..Both in the file system and the DB..
