How similar is php to C or C++?

I know C and C++ and .net, and a bunch of others. PHP looks similar to C but some things appear different. How hard is it to migrate over, and what would be good tips to getting started? Thanks.

Yeah, the syntax is similar. I programmed in C/C++ for a lot of years, and when I started out I just went to php.net and looked at the language reference section, and I still use the search there to find functions to use.
